Re: [CHICKENS-101] Meow mix

I keep trying to give them real beef, chicken, tuna, etc. I've got some WEIRD cats. I have a couple that will regularly tear into my Double Fiber bread or whole wheat hamburger buns if I'm stupid enough to leave it out of the refrigerator where they can get to it. Thanks for the information. Angelique

Here are the ingredients I got off a website that wasn't theirs. They
didn't have the ingredient listed on the website.

This stuff is corn based. Once again, you're feeding an obligate
carnivore, and corn isn't very digestible, even for use. Any time you
read a label, and you see animal digest on it, leave the food there.
Just leave it there. Give this stuff to the raccoons and skunks. Third
ingredient is chicken by-product meal, which can contain things that
aren't bio-available to the animal. The tallow is a flavoring,
stablized with Vitamin E. Then turkey by-product meal. The first
really acceptable ingredient is pretty far down the list, salmon meal,
7th ingredient.

In animal food, you often get what you pay for. Leave this stuff at
the store, go with a mid-range food. At least those don't have the
digests in them.

It just really grosses me out what animal food manufacturers think our
guys can eat.
