Re: [CHICKENS-101] why vegan?

 

It is in part a marketing ploy, the average person only knows that farmers feed corn to chickens. But it is also based on people's concerns that chickens will be fed meat by-products or even other chickens. As we have seen in other meat animals feed that COULD contain bad things WILL contain bad things.

It would be much better if they were raised on insects and possibly small animals but for people buying big Ag raised meat the reality is more likely to be left over chicken parts or cheap scraps from another meat processing operation.
