Well, here is my 2¢ on the subject.
We grow a lot of what we eat and if we don’t grow it we try to buy organic, not always possible.
I never put anything non-organic in my compost, if I won’t put it on my plants, why would I put it in the soil?
I am very mindful of what I give to my girls, they love the green scraps that come out of the juicer, but not the carrots?!?
I did a study once a while back on non-stick pans, and trust me, you will never find one in my home, talk about a toxic waste dump.
We use cast iron and stainless steel, no one in my family has ever had an issue with low iron J
I have always tried to live by “We are what we eat”
I am not preaching or condemning, just saying the way it is here.
Cheers

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Challenge Facts: Feeding Chickens Table Scraps
Janet I am not clear on what you are saying the prob is with the teflon. Is it food that is cooked on teflon, or if the parrot managed to eat a bit of teflon peeled off the pan?
We used to throw ds 's avocado peel in the compost & the chickens had access to it whether they ate it I have no idea, so I am glad me & dh don't eat avocado's we won't eat them. Although now I am aware of it if we ever do have them I certainly will not put the peel in the compost any more, thanks for that. Jane & co
