I personally don't trust anything I get at the store anymore. I HOPE that if they claim the hens are fed a "vegetarian diet", that they really are. I read once about exactly what happens at a rendering plant, where all the dead dogs, cats, rotten meat, and whatever else was boiled down in a huge cauldron and made into a slop that was used in fertilizer and also animal feed. Mainly for cattle and chickens. So if a farm states that their chickens get "meat by products" Oh man. I'm pretty sure they aren't feeding those chicken prime rib!
