[CHICKENS-101] Re: Rats!

 

We live out in the country and have pack rats -as well as a few other assorted critters. We don't use d-con because there are birds of pray around and we have a cat. We use the snap traps - and you have to be pretty cleaver with keeping the bate on so that the rats don't get the bate and leave. We put them in stove pipes - the rat comes in to get the bate and they can't back out --
Rats are a problem and you have to stay on top of the situation
