You have to safeguard your well for sure. Especially since it's been 2 months since the last rain. Just went outside to check on the barns and it is so hot and humid you can see the humidity in the air. I just checked the national weather service to see what the temp and humidity is and this is what came up. Yahoo isn't the only one messing up.

we have not had 2in of rain in 2months..
the apple trees that were loaded with fruit are dropping them soft and rotten befure they hit the ground, leaves are browning. Being on a well and not knowing if/when we will ever get rain I am leary of watering too much.
(I would hate to run out for our own use)
I am picking up a fan on the way home from work for the chickens... I have been feeding frozen watermelon and ice in their water...
poor babies .. wish I could bring them into the basement ( ok I do and I dont!)
