I have them all together and all has worked out just fine. we dont have a pond in with them but they are out most the day to free range and the ducks get into their kiddie pool or the big pond in the yard

Hi Mary, glad to see you are posting now.  My goodness, that sure is a strangely shaped coop, was it designed for some specific purpose?  Other than chickens? 

I've never known anyone who ran their ducks and chickens together. Not to say it can't be done, but their needs are very different.
