Gary, When I used metal cans I lined the cans with plastic garbage bag liners so condensation could not dampen my feed. Cathryn

They sure will follow them. Anyplace there is feed, there are rats lingering. Make some kind of wire floor for under your tractor run. Something you can just set it down on and when you move it, you will be able to clean and disinfect and put it back under. May be a pain, but will probably stop them from getting to the food.   Keep your food stock in Metal trash cans with lids.  This is what I do. Gary
