I totally agree with you! I would be incredibly upset! But someone said on here they would never buy from ebay... probably because of you horrible situation! And I know I would have handled it a lot worse than you!!!! ;o)

I just wanted to make the point there are good sellers.

I sold a wonderful western saddle on ebay once. The seller signed that she received the saddle then went to paypal and told paypal I never sent the saddle and they took her money out of my account to pay her back, despite the fact I had the signed postal slip.

That turned me off to ebay for years! But I remembered buying was very rewarding. I just won't sell again.

I bet it you told paypal what happened they"d give you your money back.

I have been silent through this topic, but now I see people are turning away from Bay eggs all together.

I have done 5 purchases. From 5 different people. Shipped eggs from anywhere is a risk even if they are clean and fresh. Obviously filthy rotten eggs is a different story.

Imagine an egg, in a package given to a post office and all it goes through between here and there.

Everyone I have received eggs from have been wonderful people. they have always sent 1/2 again as many eggs as I purchased. One guys eggs from the east coast were 100% fertile and will be hatching on the 3rd out of the homemade incubator. The rest went into my cabinet incubator. And most are fertile.

They have been in great communication with me! There are fabulous people selling eggs online. Its just horrible that a few, pardon the pun, bad eggs ruin it for everyone!

Everyone I purchased from, I reviewed all their feedback first, visited their web sites, and asked questions before I bid. And I only bought from people who are APA members and NIPI certified... means the state looks at their chickens once a year. And that they would spend the extra monies on their hobby of selling eggs.

Don't give up on buying eggs on eBay. As I figure it, how match would it cost me to travel to Florida or Washington state to buy 2 chicks? If only 2 chicks hatch out of 12 eggs, I am ahead of the game. And so far, almost all will hatch, or at least have to opportunity! I need new blood! Arizona does not have a lot of breeders.
