[CHICKENS-101] Wet chickens

Wasn't sure how to title this.
Got a late start doing morning chores today because youngest dd's baby chihuahua is having bs issues (getting better now). Anyway, I get out to the barn/coop to find the pen with the leghorns in it soaked. Both pens on either side are dry as are the birds in them. Choice word leghorns like to make a mess with any waterer I've put in there so far. Well two young birds (d'uccle and cornish) were dead from being soaked :(. Two more were in bad shape. Got their pen cleaned out and fresh bedding, etc. Brought the two live soaked ones in the house and they've perked up under heat lamp. Oh I gave everyone involved outside and in medicated water with red cell to help. Now how long should I keep these two inside?
I sure wish the idiot leghorns were ready to butcher. Thinking of making a temp pen for them. The poor white d'uccle looks like crap now. Hope his feathers have time to straighten up by fair in July.
Any advice on either soaked or crazy birds is appreciated.
