What kind of tool would you suggest and how far down?  Where would the blood line be?  We have not wanted to trim her but she has lost more weight than we realized.

Judith, I would trim her.  Have pet store blood stop and a solder gun handy in case she bleeds and you cannot stop it.  Either you trim or she suffers.  You are such a great bird parent! Cathryn
