Jane, Yes, it can heal. I'd use the apron because I've tried to work with birds without an apron and it is hard. Because she is your dominant hen you want her to heal without having her entire body taped or her separated. Hopefully the road is salted soon or the temps go up. I have feed for you and need to go get another stockpile of grain. Did you check the date on your papers? We may have to test your flock soon. I have to send my tester renewal in too and had better go find the papers.

I'm glad you didn't try to go to Millington today. Dan said Irish Rd was a sheet of ice until he got to I-69. Can her wing heal if I tape it up or secure it with her chicken apron? Boy,it seems like horses and chickens could hurt themselves in a padded rubber room! I was glad to see she was still Queen Bee. Even Barney the rooster gives her space.
