Hi Ronna, Did we meet on another group?   I'd never put silkies with ducks, especially large ducks.  I would not put the silkies with standard chickens.  Cathryn


 

Hi. We are just about to start a small of Australorps as duel purpose chickens. We are going to build a chicken tractor so we can keep them safe from predators. I would like to keep a few Silkies for their parenting skills, friendliness, and entertainment.

I would like to keep the two breeds together in the same tractor. If that is not feasible, could I keep the Silkies in a tractor with Peking Ducks?
