There has been some dispute over which owns which and who controls
what. After rechecking the facts both online ( various search engines )
and contacting the companies themselves ( email and phone ) I have this
info to offer.
1) Cargill makes and owns Nutrena and Agway brand feeds.
2) Purina Pet foods is owned by Nestle ( makers of dog and cat food and
pet items .... not related to Purina Mills )
3) Purina Mills is owned by Land O' Lakes. Which also markets feed
under the Country Choice brand.
If anyone can provide definitive proof ( not speculation or hearsay )
that this is not the case .... Please do so ..... either to the list or
to me privately.
I am sure that at some point in the not to distant future ( decades )
that mega corps will will merge and blend most if not all foods we eat
and feed. But I really never liked green wafers ......
