Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Oh, no, it's SNOWING.

Eric when we first arrived, at a Kmart store we looked at orange plastic circles.  There was a large circle and a smaller one like a lid, mounted on the larger one and a spring to raise it.  We turned them over and over pondering what in the duce these strange things could possibly be.  Beings as how this was MN, the store apparently felt no need for any type signage.  I think they were between $12. and $15.  I said "Well, if it was 5 or 7 I'd buy it just for the heck of it, but it's just too much for something I have no clue about".  Mr. Percy concurred and we left.  That was July.  Eventually it got colder and we had a head smacking moment when realization set in!  I still wish we'd bought one.

Does that ever bring back memories!  I lived in Minn, my junior year of high school.  Everybody drove across a lake,I can't remember its name, while it was frozen good because it saved a good 5 miles over going around it.  My friends and I would drive out onto the ice and get the car going as fast as we could, given the size of the lake we did this on and the ice fishing shakes, and then see how many times we could get the car to spin around.  Sure was fun!
