Hi Ruth, welcome to Chickens-101.  Yes, if you clip just 1 wing of each chicken, they should be off balance enough they can't clear the fence.  If that doesn't work, perhaps you could add netting above the existing fence.  It's lightweight, easy to handle and practically invisible from a distance  .And it's inexpensive.  Double yoke eggs hatching I know nothing about but don't believe I'd want to try it.  I'd be worried about having a conjoined chick.
