When that had been stated, I grabbed a Stevia leaf to re-taste it again and truthfully, "licorice" does
not at all describe the little tad of aftertaste to me. I still can't come up with a description that does - it's sort of a bit of a natural "green" leafy taste. Not at all disagreeable, but to those who's minds are spoiled into thinking that all sweeteners should taste just exactly like sugar, they may not like it.
BUT, that's tasting it whole. I don't recall ever getting that when it's been used in things (like for me, teas, and a bit of baking).

I've never tried it but the idea of licorice flavored food isn't very appealing. Licorice itself is one of my favorite things. I'm a Red Vines Black Licorice only person. Well, I like the stuff GNC sells that my DD buys. >>
