Well, we're not selling "surplus" eggs, selling eggs and produce is a business for us. We sell our eggs for $6.00/doz at the Farmers Market and to local customers and the demand is greater than what we can supply. Other Farmers Markets in our area are always asking if we can sell at their markets, and our eggs in demand at three of the best restaurants in Sonoma County. We're getting 75 more day-old-chicks next week in an effort to keep up with the demand. Considering the cost of feed, you can't even break even selling eggs at $2.50/dozen.
