Barn boots? I do most of my stuff in flip-flops. It is just plain too
hot to wear "shoes" these days. I'd go barefoot, but my arches need
support...I've built up the flip-flops with moleskin. I even find
myself climbing into the engine compartment of my old truck and climbing
around in old lumber piles after 2x4's in them. It does make me much
more conscious of where I step, but I still stepped on a pullet egg
yesterday. POP!
Put the babies in with the Silkies in the middle coop area the other
day...so far so good, but still putting them in at night...they haven't
got it figured out yet. The Silkies love the extra running space
though...a running Silkie is cute.
My chipmunk chicks might be Golden Campine...my sister-in-law was given
some a while back...didn't know what they were. We'll just have to see.
She doesn't separate her flock, so they will likely be mixed anyway.
New hatch should start peeping Saturday...
