Mine just sleep on the floor in the house with some of the chickens. She has a nest area she likes to hide eggs. They free range during the day with the chickens. My other set sleeps in another house with a different bunch of chickens. I never bothered making them anything special and they seem to do just fine.
If you have babies and decided to brooder them yourself, be prepared. They stink a lot worse than chickens. And the mess has almost caused a separation. lol

Has anyone made / had a bed area for ducks that
they actually use? I just got a shipping crate that would be
a little raised and if I take down one side to make the
entrance, seems like it would be a great "bed" for
them at night. I'm wondering if it will be worth my
work. I tried to use a big old shallow drawer but they just
nested beside it.
Thanks!
