Yep, this chicken stuff is a learning experience. I have done it all and thinking ahead is not my strong suit. But woodland creatures are just like us - gotta feed the family.

Yeah... I do have a place for them but I hadn't gotten the roof done on it
so it wasn't really in working order (the chickies just jumped up and down
and fluttered their little butts out of the pen).

I didn't think about it being denning season... and the EEs were small (4
weeks)...

Oh well, for my first set of chickies and only have lost 4 out of 17 after
almost 8 weeks I guess I'm not doing terribly.
