Jennifer, Tub type cages with a fence or screen lid, guinea pig cages, rabbit cages with urine guards are great because it keeps the feed inside the cage and the trays are easy to clean out. Just avoid cedar bedding. I use cross cut shredded paper and pine bedding in my cages.

Thanks for the info George! We absolutely love him to pieces! He's black with a tiny little white stripe going up his neck that seems to disappearing as his feathers grow out more. He was fully feathered when we brought him home but he still had some feathers that were growing and were still in pin form at the base. He's pretty much grown out most of those. I'll try and attach some pictures of him. He's grown even in the week and a half that we've had him and is an absolute hoot. He tears around the house every so often and just makes us laugh but loves to cuddle with us. We've taken him outside where the grass was higher than he was this weekend before it got mowed. He was fine as long as he could see us. He's quite attached to us but I suppose that's what happens when they imprint on humans. My significant other practically sleeps with him. He's wanted a cat for a while after we lost our last cat but I won't allow it now that
we have small birds in addition to our medium sized parrots. Dagbert seems like the perfect compromise because he kind of acts like a cat in the fact that he loves to cuddle...none of our parrots are that excited about just curling into the crook of your neck and just taking a nap. I have to keep telling Jon that Daggy has to sleep in his tub. We eventually want to build him a coop in our spare room...he's totally spoiled and we haven't had him two weeks yet!
