I let a 7-yr old name my initial hens. My favorites are Mr. Tito Fluff (Black Cochin hen), Mrs. Bossypants (the lead Ameracauna). Her Dad named the big dumb Brahma rooster Sheldon, the flashy and flamboyant Danish Brown Leghorn rooster Montague, and the shaggy hackled Ameracauna roos is Fleetwood — all cross streets between the house and the feed store.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Naming your chicken
Oh this is fun! We name our chickens from movies and songs and things too. We have 3 separate "Villages" of basically Modern Games, but also several OEG. I'll tell you a few. These are all the 'outside' chickens...Alex is inside) 3 roosters, Phoenix, since he's tall and firey orange red and looks like a phoenix, King Arthur, since he's the head rooster, and Sachi, who's the low-ranking rooster, but actually the one who takes care of the hens and the hens like better. Then there's the hens....Binky, Tierra, Twisty-beak (She has a crossed beak), Dominique, Brie, Sephora,Brianne, Tiadamma, And then the Barnevelders, Nikki, and MOOSE (Moose is the biter) My daughter has 2 villages. Here's some of her chickens: Sammy, Kincaid,Matty,Beanie (From "Meanie-Bo-Beanie), Gwendolyn, Fin, Arabella, Oxsanna, Seraphina, Jasper, Natalia, Billy Jean ( From the song Billie Jean by Micheal Jackson...Melissa was trying to convince me to take her, but I couldn't
take in an OEG to my village, so I named her Billy Jean since she's..."Not my chicken", Tinkerbelle, Vespar, Molly Brown. Oh and so many others. So many past special chickens....Laina,Natalia, Pippin, Vladie, Anndain,.....Just to name a few!
