RE: [CHICKENS-101] sick rooster question

> I am just wondering if this stiffness could be because of a)disease? if
so, what? b)a result of his size or age? or c)infection spreading? Anyone?
Please?

hard to tell what's wrong, but sometimes you really don't need diagnosis,
without intervention you will most likely lose him, so I would definitely
put him on antibiotics, do you have anything on hand you can start right
away? Keeping him separate for now is good, make sure he eats and drinks,
if he doesn't have good intake you need to get it into him via a crop tube.
I have pulled several hens through severe illness, these birds have amazing
ability to recover but it sometimes does take quite strong measures to get
them through the worst of their illness. Keep him in a warm place so he
doesn't have to spend energy trying to stay warm, if possible let him be
with his hens for a while each day under your supervision, I feel it really
gives them an emotional boost to be with their flock at least for brief
times.
