Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Joyful Hearts Farm Defense Fund ~ Help Save our LGD's & Right to Farm!

I live in town on an acre in a lightly populated neighborhood. One neighbor has a house he was renovating (read tearing up but he felt he was fixing it) and he lived in a trailer at the back of his property. At the time we had goats and would bring them in town every winter to kid. Otherwise they were 5 miles out in the country on our acreage. We had pyrs for lgd's and the female usually came in town to have puppies around the time the goats kidded. We worried about neighbor complaints because she occasionally did bark. The only complaint we ever got was the first year AFTER we took them back out to the country. The former city boy neighbor in the trailer said he MISSED the soft sounds of the goats and the deep low barking of the dog at night making him feel safe and that all was right with the world. I thought that was the sweetest way to describe it and quite nice he felt that way. Too bad more don't feel the same. I feel blessed to not have had the problems you have encountered.
I wish I could send money to help with this cause. It is a very worthy fight to throw ones hat in the ring for. At this point in my unemployed life I am thankful to be able to have chickens, my cow, and garden that helps feed my family. Please know that for some of us who have no earthly way of helping fund your fight we have you in our thoughts and prayers.
Wishing you the best,
Marla
