Well folks, I was born and raised in Southern California and being that I am 70 that was a long time ago. Things were wonderful then, sun and fresh air. Then as with anything, time changed everything. I would love to be able to go back to the California I knew as a child but that is gone. I was one of the original Valley girls, raised in Sherman Oaks but my husband and I and our three kids left there for the San Francisco area in 1962 because we wanted to give our kids a better chance at growing up well.
We left that area in 1968 due to my husbands job and I am now in Seattle.
I miss those early days terribly but life goes on and change has to take place. My own little town is changing daily, new folks are moving in and we are growing. I hate to see it happen, but life goes on and you have to just adjust or be miserable.
That is the way of things.
