Re: [CHICKENS-101] greens and other yummy things for the Chickens

I don't know if Oregano is good for them or not, but if you plant it, keep on it. I planted some one year and played heck getting it out of the garden. Tried to take over like a weed. Not sure what kind it was.
My birds - chickens and ducks love tomatoes and pumpkin.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] greens and other yummy things for the Chickens

I was planning next year's garden and was wondering: do any of you plant anything special for your chickens or livestock? I'm not talking about alfalfa or pastures, just a row or two in your family garden with the ladies in mind.

I had heard that Oregano was good for the chickens' digestion but wonder if there is a special variety or other that is better than another?

Opinions? Suggestions? and personal experiences are all welcome!
