Hi Maria,
It is amazing how fast she healed. But the circumstances were so unusual. That's exactly why I posted the photos. A bit of effort and I still have a happy, laying hen. I know that there are people that may have just culled her. But I think it was worth the expense, which wasn't much, and the effort to save her.

It was a good lesson. To think I was made aware of this mess just because I checked what appeared to be a filthy vent that needed washing. Always good to check.
