David, It's this ebay seller. Who in the world sends their grandson out to gather eggs and sends rotten, poopy eggs. I have vacellated back and forth, should I even say anything. I am ticked and am going to see if pay pal will give me money back and I am opening up a case. I should have done that right away. I knew as soon as I saw the shit and candled the eggs that there was a problem. I paid for fresh hatching eggs and was sent old junk eggs. Cathryn

Not a problem, you want more, just ask, not tell me I purposely sent you rotten smelly eggs, which my grandson gathers. Are they silkie or serama?, I will assume silkie since their pens are outside and mud normally is on them. Unfortunately they can't be washed or you kill the embryos etc, they have to breathe through the shell. Why would you take a rotten egg to the vet since you have allready "spent so much money", I also sell or buy the silkies for $65 each and Seramas are $125.

I've had bad eggs sent to me before and it's a pity that some people will do just about anything for a buck! I've heard of some breeders selling their eggs that were incubated for a week and infertile. Some people! Who was this person you got eggs from? Not to sling him/her through the mud or anything but I think it would be nice to know so others don't have the same results.
Did you expect anything other than an excuse from a person who sent you old eggs. Obviously they HAD to know how old they were.
At least they didn't explode in your hands or in the bator, that is about the only thing to be thankful for in this situation.
