I have tried this with mixed results in the whelping area of my dog kennels. I first saw it in farm show magazine and figured it was worth a try.
I will try it again this year, but pay more attention.
Shiny copper pennies in the bottom of the bag at supposed to refract light. Since flies have multifaceted eyes it looks like danger.
If you wipe the bags off daily with a damp clothe it works better. Also is best if the bag can move in the breeze.
(For all I know I may have been over run with flies without them. I dont want to spray anything around my pups. Had 22 in there (2 litters 3 days apart) and the flies were not terrible or overwhelming, like when ya walk into some barns and they just attack you)
