Yes, the eggs had been shipped. The one ittle one having troube getting out of its shell, is now out of its shell and peeping like mad.
The other 11 eggs are sitting looking inscrutabe. I did sacrifice one egg and found a fully deveoped chick, yok fully absorbed, but no heartbeat. So I figured that whatever is going on is something that I did here.
If there is any USPS induced probems, they do no happed at this post office. This is a small, friendly town and the posta workers and the postmaster are just tickled when chicks and/or eggs are shipped in. At least at this post office chicks and eggs are handled with loving care.

I set 12 shipped eggs in the same incubator at the same time with some of my own eggs and mine hatched right on schedule strong and healthy while only one of the shipped eggs hatched yesterday (day 22) and is so week I don't think it's going to make it. Just trying to figure out what happened. My incubator manual suggests that in addition to low temps, eggs that are held too long before setting will hatch too late. Has anybody else heard this?
