Hi Melanie, welcome to the group. She only has 3 eggs? You can put more under no later than tomorrow. After that there is nothing to do but wait. If she is like the many dozens of broody hens I've had she will get off the nest once each day to eat and drink and empty out and run around and make you think she has gone crazy for a few minutes, 10 to 20, before going back to her nest. She will keep them warm and humid just right and turn often enough. So don't worry for the next 21 days.
Eric

After reading about how to use incubators we decided to let a hen do the work. My friend gave me a "Broody" hen. Whe tried to introduce her to the flock and they tried to kill her. Now she is in my office on a bed of shavings in a crate. I was told she is an older hen but still lays a random egg. She is so broody that she wont even leave the eggs for food and water so they have to be very close to her. So far she is eating and drinking well. We put 3 newly layed eggs under her this morning. Now what?
