That she would eat them, the ducks?  Naw, she views them as furniture, walks right past them without any interest.  I did find where I believe there is another nest.  Under the ramp that comes off the deck, way at the low end.  I was putting up plastic wire along the edge of the ramp and suddenly a duck's head appeared, wondering what I was doing.

Maybe they sense Petals would eat them if they tried.  The call ducks were raised with five dogs.Cathryn
