I took pictures, tried to upload them under photos and my disk crashed. I lost all the pictures. I tried to take more but by then AWOL went back under the house. She was being attatcked but all the other larger chickens. And took off, I understand the pecking order but she has been a producer pretty much since the day we got her....are they jealous?
All the silkies belong to us. We started with 4 silkies (1 had 2 babies with her) we had 2 that look like ducks, very pretty, blue, green red. We had twins in those...one was attacked by a hawk and killled. Then I am not quite sure what the others were called. 2 browns, and a 1 rooster. although it seems like the duck looking one yesterday started coc-a-doodle-doing yesterday as the sun went down and shued the chickens into the coop.
We personally have a total of 11. Lost one of ours to the hawk. So our personal stock is 10.
then a man brought the rest....9 more, road island reds I am told and several gingers...not sure the correct name.
Anyway they would stay to themselves. The 1 layed an egg. The one that layed the very large egg. She died about 3 days later. Then the one that we recently found out was being attacked became extreemly lazy and staying away from the others....
Lazy spent the night in an old washroom/bathroom. In a cage. I was told by the owner of these to put her in a cage and leave her in with the other chickens....is this wize.

Christi, Silkies should be penned not allowed to run around where ever they want. Especially since your coop is not home. She may
