Obviously you have never seen ILT or you'd be pro vaccine for those who show. ILT will wipe out a flock within a short time. Everything has its place. I for one am glad for my small pox and polio vaccinations I had as a child. Just wait with the number of birds you are hatching and bringing in unless you set up stringent bio security asap you will find out the hard way. It's only a matter of time and fact. Cathryn
We have immunized/sanitized ourselves into poor immune systems. Must
we do that to our birds too?
I am not a big fan of immunizations. The logic is valid, but the
execution is flawed. Since many vaccines are created in chicken eggs,
I suppose the stray chicken protein won't really hurt a...chicken.
However; it has been linked to SUBACUTE SCLEROSING PANENCEPHALITIS in
humans. In order to obfuscate the link, the descriptive medical name
has been replaced by a behavioral characteristic name. Can you guess
what this disorder is called in the media?
