I go along with Cathryn on this. Breed for immunity! A NEVER, EVER bring home a bird from a source that you don't know to be Mareks free. Isolating a bird isn't enough as the disease if carried via the feather dander and will spread on the wind and can survive for many months. Once on a yard it will infect every bird that comes there for at least the next year. So either accept your loses while you breed for resistance or vaccinate every chick that hatches on the first day of its life.
