Re: [CHICKENS-101] Can my pullets eat layer pellets?

I have never had any problems feeding pullets layer pellets. Supposedly they are too high in calcium and that might be a problem. You might add some scratch grains or greens to their diet until they are ready to lay.

I just brought home 3 "Easter egger" pullets!  The woman I bought them from said they are "4 or 5 months" old, so I don't know their exact age.  Do I need to buy them some grower crumbles and take away the layer feed that's in there for my laying hen?  Will it hurt them to eat the layer pellets?  I will run and get them grower feed tomorrow if I need to, but I'm hoping they can just eat the layer pellets.
