I wouldn't say mine is immediate, but it is fairly quick. Definitely not as long as you. If I am working outside and don't realize I have gotten in it, by that evening or the next morning at the latest, I am broke out. I have tried to wash when I know I did get into it and still break out. We had one place we lived and the ivy had taken over a pine tree. It was a beautiful green tree, till I realized it was all poison ivy. Hubby cut it off at the base and dug out the root ball. It was HUGE. It was bigger than the tractor bucket. I don't touch it, summer or winter. Got a bad case one year from handling a tree that came down in an ice storm.
