It's quite possible. They are opportunistic, so if it saw an easy grab at your coop while en route with a previous kill, it may have indulged in a killing spree with your chickens.
You may need electric wire protection around your run--or else keep a gun handy. I don't know if foxes are protected anywhere, but maybe a pellet gun would sting and make your location seem less attractive. Knock on wood, but I haven't seen the fox here since I apparently scared it with a few rocks when it grabbed one of my hens--but dropped it (unharmed) and ran! Of course I was just plain lucky to be close enough to hear the kerfuffle and get the rocks launched.
