Depends on where you live.  My solar yard lights don't work from about November to sometime late in February.  There just is not enough light.
 
And none of them work "all night".  Read the box, average seems to be about 6 hours, although that might be enough.

I think drilling a bunch of holes in the roof is inviting leaks. If going this route I'd use a solar spotlight w a remote collector and feed the wire under the roof rather than through it.

Did you check out automatic photo albums in Yahoo Groups?
When you send mail to your Yahoo Group with photos attached, a photo album with attached photos is automatically created. When your group members reply to the email with photo attachments, those photos are added to the 'photomatic' albums automatically!
