I like big, fat fluffy pine flakes. They seem to keep the barn cleaner longer, and my chickens love them.

The pelletized bedding needs to be wet down. It dissolves into sawdust. You don't put it in the nest boxes as is. So I guess my question should have been: does anyone use sawdust for bedding?
