I think most of us try to maintain a dry loft also. It absorbs the water and drys quickly.

If you wet the pellets how do you keep your lofts dry?  I work at keeping my barns dry and when it was bitter cold out ran a heater not for the chickens but to keep the barn dry.  I could see the fog from the cold coming in thru the ventilation holes and door.
