When I first read your post, I read it to mean the exact opposite of what you were trying to say.

I remember being a kid and thinking that genetically engineered food was going to be good. Now I think it is just a way to make it easier for distributors to get their food to us. Fresh food doesn't turn brown.

I feed apples to my chickens, a lot. They're cheap around here, and I also have some wild trees.

I just don't see the need for another big government study to create something that already exists naturally, no GMO needed. Golden Delicious have been around for years. I have a tree out in back, very hardy, and the apples hang on longer than almost anything else. Free chicken feed!

You might have misread what I wrote, or misunderstand it, or maybe I didn't explain very well.
