I have been investigating coops for some time now and I really like the whichita coop.
You can see it here: http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/wichita-cabin-coop and order plans from them as well.
It has everything I want in a small coop. I like that I can grab the eggs from the outside, and that I can walk into the coop. I'm going to put linoleum on the floor of the actual coop to make it easier to clean.

Check your local Craig's List for coops/housing for your chickens. It's doesn't necessarily have to be made specifically for chickens. One of my coops began life as a rabbit hutch.Another, which I am in the process of "building" (using the term very loosely, considering my carpentry skills or lack thereof) began life as a chest of drawers. The top two drawers have been removed as have the partitions between them clear down to the third highest drawer. The roost will go in the top portion and I will make screened, latchable doors for it. The third drawer down will stay intact and be lined with self stick linoleum, then newspaper, to serving as a droppings board. I'll be able to pull the drawer out to clean it. The bottom two drawers will be combined (but not attached to each other) with a partition between them and circular openings in front - to be used as nest boxes. I'll be able to pull out the bottom drawer to collect eggs. This chest of drawers "coop" will only house between 5 and 6 Seramas or maybe 4 to 5 other bantams. I'd have to have a lot bigger chest (or perhaps on old armoire or entertainment center) to make something for larger, more standard-sized birds.Di
