The breeder will breed more to the standard, and the hatchery less so. What are the breeds? Bantam cochins/pekings?

I notice a difference in the sizes of some of my chicks. The oldest batch were hatched March 17 from a big hatchery. The younger ones are from a serious exhibition breeder.
Is this normal to find large differences in sizes?
I've recently wormed them.
I don't notice any aggression around the feeders.
