The breeder's birds are Ameraucana. All the Wheatons are big and about the same size except one really small one. The pale blue or lilac ones have always been smaller.
The McMurray hatchery chicks are all over the place. The white Silkies are huge compared to the black Silkies. The Silkies are the most different in size--some huge, some tiny. The bantam Cochins are more uniform but I still have a runty one.
I've done things like separate the big ones from the little ones during the day, mining my compost bin for soldier fly maggots and setting out lots of big plates of worms so everyone gets a lot most days of the week.
