We have two pullets and two cockerels that were hatched May 12th. We haven’t gotten any eggs yet. The other day I noticed the lead roo was on the back of one of the pullets. Now I am new to chickens and in particular, roos, so I don’t know how long it takes for them to do their job up there. He was not up there very long. Anyway, my question is this, does his attempting to mount mean that the pullets are getting close to laying?
