Couldn't find my two bantam white laced red cornish hens tonight. The rooster was on top of the highest point of his plywood shelter that is over dog house, on the rounded perch I wood screwed to the highest part where they like to sleep. (Two saw horses, one side higher than the other.) Looked in the dog house, under the plywood, the side, behind, and no hens. I hear a noise and look up and both hens are way, way up high in the patio umbrellas. They have a good 6 ft jump down in the morning. Sure hope they can partially fly. Any one have bantam cornish? Do you know if the fat chub a lubs can fly at all? They are laying, do you think I should take them down and put them on their perch with the rooster?
