Sometimes I mix my own, but it is cheaper to have the Amish up north make my feed using my recipe. When I can't get up north, (summer I can't buy 2 tons and store it like I can in the winter), I buy Armada or Kent, and Grand River homemade chick feed and mix them. I have a grinder and have used it to grind grain and calf manna. When you grind grain it molds easier and faster.
I've only been active a month where I am starting to actually do the work instead of hiring someone to do it. There is so much to do after being sick for 3 years that it is hard to stay focused on one job at time. I am going to wait until cold weather to make my own feed.

Cathryn What do you feed? Do you mix all your own ingredients? I have been a little wary of Purina since they bought Pedigree dog food and dummied it down. Laurie --- On Fri, 7/27/12, CathrynTherese Fitch Walden <cathryntherese@yahoo.com> wrote:
