[CHICKENS-101] Can you put "old" chicks under a broody hen?

 

I got two chicks from the feed store and one has turned out to be a rooster, so he'll be re-homed (zoning restrictions where I live). The other is now 5 weeks old. Is she too old to put under a broody hen so that the older bird will adopt her? I don't want to put the little baby out in the pen with all the adult birds without some kind of protector or companion. She'll have a nervous breakdown.
